As an artist, void of words, and through my hands, I have found a voice to create artwork that is imaginative and very personal to me. My work is influenced by my own ethnic and cultural experiences. I consider my painting, ceramic and photographic work to be abstract and contemporary with a focus on the human form.

Native American people are the current subject of my latest work. This Journey began with an interest in Southern history and my own dwindling traces of American Indian decent.

1,000 MILES is a body of work that speaks, for the ones who are remembered by the way they were forgotten. Can we truly understand where we are going if we don’t pay attention to those who journeyed before us?
